We have had so much rain that it is flooding the wheat fields and the farmers cannot harvest the grain. What so many people who live here don't know about is the deep underground table that sits below The City; I guess it's better if they don't know about it!Desert Songbirdhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14320552900816326120noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-31232156.post-89552708564033933602007-06-16T08:42:00.000-07:002007-06-16T08:42:00.000-07:00In southern California they waste water. Conservation is king here. We're required to conserve year round.

The slightest dip in the water table brings out draught talk. Certainly it's not as severe as the things that happen in the southwest. But we conserve.Travis Codyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06192526507760146748noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-31232156.post-27305416741275161852007-06-15T18:21:00.000-07:002007-06-15T18:21:00.000-07:00Ah, I remember well the last drought that Californ...Ah, I remember well the last drought that California had. I hope it doesn't get as bad or last as long this time around.

We have had some pretty strange weather for June. The two days previous today were cloudy, cool, and kept threatening rain though we got none. Today is warm and sunny like June is supposed to be.

Personally I can do without the three H's of New England summers - hazy, hot, and humid - but I'm sure they'll turn up soon whether they are welcome or not!Lindahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05698969349369789642noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-31232156.post-77256484023297703552007-06-15T17:53:00.000-07:002007-06-15T17:53:00.000-07:00and don't forget the bees that are missing! smiles...and don't forget the bees that are missing!

smiles, beeEmpress Bee (of the high sea)https://www.blogger.com/profile/08300140506585000934noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-31232156.post-27808872514968980302007-06-15T17:29:00.000-07:002007-06-15T17:29:00.000-07:00"You don't need a weatherman to know which way the..."You don't need a weatherman to know which way the wind blows"
--Bob DylanNikki Neurotichttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10699784181113365713noreply@blogger.com
