Meme Fun!

A new friend, Laura, tagged me with this one:
(I highly recommend "The Quotidian Mysteries" for anyone looking for a very intriguing blog!)

1. What were you doing ten years ago?

I have trouble remembering what I was doing ten minutes ago, but I can honestly say, I was getting ready to avoid my 50th birthday, er, celebrate. My kids pulled off a wonderful surprise party and my youngest and her husband treated us to a weekend in Santa Barbara.

2. What were you doing one year ago?

We listed our house for sale the first week in July so the month of June was spent preparing our home! We had a garage sale, boxed up "stuff," and all of the general things one does to prepare for the sale of a house!

3. List five snacks you enjoy.

It would be easier listing five snacks I don't enjoy! I guess my favorites are cinnamon graham crackers, kettle chips, anything with cheese or chocolate in, on or around it, and bananas (have to throw in a fruit).

4. List five songs you know all lyrics to:

This one is really hard because I started singing in choir in 6th grade; was in choir all through high school; sang in an octet as an adult, besides all the thousands of hours listening to CD's and the radio over a lifetime!

Favorites: Amazing Grace (surprise!); Be Thou My Vision; 99 Bottles of Beer on the Wall (just kidding!); just about anything by the Doobies (Toulouse Street); Battle Hymn of the Republic;
The Lord's Prayer

5. List five things you'd do if you were a millionaire:

Okay, you've figured out that I'm a "Church Lady," so the obvious to me is a chunk of change to my church or missions or where I'm led to give; next, I'd pay off my children's mortgages (one needs a house!); we'd all take a "gynormous" trip to the Hawaiian islands and invest in a condo on the Princeville golf course; buy a home in Colorado, Oregon or Montana by water; help some dear friends that are in financial straits. (If this is limited to strictly $1,000,000, it would only buy a 4 bedroom tract house in Orange Co., CA!)

I was going to say CRUISE, Miss Bee!

And Gracie, I love your sense of humour -- only YOU would put 99 Bottles Of Beer On The Wall in the same list as Amazing Grace!

Gracie,
do you live near me ? I'm in Laguna Niguel.
And you can definitely get a tract house in southern Orange County for that ! Try Ladera Ranch or Talega or Irvine ! I'll think lottery thoughts for you --

Haa haa haa....99 Bottles of Beer.

You crack me up lady.

Amazing Grace - what a surprise! (NOT) - BTW, I know that one too!

For a million bucks, you could get TWO 4-bedroom tract homes here in my area, but you wouldn't have any left over for furnishings...

how about chocolate cheesecake. It has both cheese and chocolate.

My brother loves graham crackers so much that he can eat a pack a night! You'd think he'd be fat, but he's thin as a rail...of course he's a runner so that helps. ;)

I have a little trouble with the 47th verse of "99 Bottles of Beer"!

This looks like a fun meme and I will keep my fingers crossed that someday you become a millionaire and can do all those great things!

Nice meme.

Great kids to treat you to a birthday weekend.

our lottery is 76 mill. wish me luck.

I would also help out a lot of friends and family. I would make sure none of my future relatives would have to worry about college. I would set up a trust fund strictly for the Simpson Clan to go to school, requiring passing grades to continue getting money.

Also I would start a non-profit animal clinic to spay and nueter animals for free.

Then I would go tour castles and other interesting world sites.

What fun Gracie. Loved your responses. This is only the second time I have seen this meme. Must be new. Have a great day. :)

I'm finally stopping by to say:

THANKS FOR PLAYING! :)

Great answers. That 99 bottles of beer killed me. Too funny!
