Manic Monday - Leaf
Since I don't live in a part of the country that has a lot of glorious fall colors, I thought I'd share my favorite leaf - a Canna. This is the leaf of a Tropicana, just one of the varieties of Canna.
This plant faces west and even in our brutal summers and the hot afternoons, you can see how beautiful it is! It flowers, too! This one has bold, bright orange spike-like flowers.
I love flowers but sometimes a single leaf can hold as much beauty as a flower.

Happy MM! I knew about Tropicana (the hotel). I never knew about Tropicana (the plant). Great info. Thanx...

I have just read some of your posts. I liked the writing style.
I liked the way in which you put the words in creating the whole scene of a meaning.

That sure is a different spin on the leaf. I don't think this beauty would make it in my neck of the woods :o) It gets too cold here until about April...
That leaf is spectacular. So many tropical plants just explode with color.
I've never seen anything quite like that! Thanks for sharing. It surely is amazing and so beautiful!
Happy MM

Not playing this week, but wanted to comment. I'm living in the same area as you. Not much color going on at all. I love your leaf here however. I don't think I've ever seen one before. Have a great day sweetie. Big hug and lotsa lovies. :)
Y'all come to No. GA where our leaves are glorious!
Wow - what a gorgeous leaf! It looks just as beautiful as any of the foliage we get out here in the East.
