Thursday Thirteen - Happy Things...
Things That Make My Heart Sing
(and not in any particular order)
(and not in any particular order)
1. Puppy breath
2. The voice of a loved one on the phone
3. Knowing my kids and grandkids are safe and well
4. A Hershey kiss slowly melting on my tongue
5. Going for a walk with hubman and holding hands
6. Being part of a large community choir and singing Handel's Messiah
(the whole thing!)
7. Watching a baby learning to laugh - I dare you not to laugh along!
8. Swimming with wild dolphins in the ocean in Maui
9. Talking a walk by a waterfall in heavily forested woods, full of
ferns and pure oxygenated air
10. Reading a really good book- not enough hours in the day for them all
11. Diving into a pool on a horribly hot day and feeling the rush as the
cold water envelops me
12. Walking on the Sterns Wharf in Santa Barbara on a clear summer's day
and stopping for fresh fish for lunch
13. Looking at the moon shining on the ocean waters in Oahu while
listening to Hawaiian music wafting on the breeze from the hotel

Now, was that saccharine enough? It's so much easier
to be flippant or sarcastic. I'm trying to be a nicer
calmer "Gracie!"

Hi Gracie, I keep forgetting to stop by because you do not come up in the reader. I am doing ok, depressed and scared, oh well, maybe john can pull it out but it is not looking too good. what the heck, we survived jimmy carter and bill clinton.
Puppie breath? I'd be grabbing the puppie tooth brush.
You are so lucky to get to swim with dolphins.
I haven't done a lot of these things but they all sure do sound wonderful (though I'm sure you'd appreciate it if I'd find someone other than Hubman to take a walk and hold hands with!).
Oh, except for the puppy's breath - I think I could pass on that one!
They all sound wonderful!
A wonderful list...really I'd love to do some of them right now.
LOL not the puppy breath either.
My T13 is up
My Little Drummer Boys
Those are wonderful things to do. Although, I'm not much of a beach person, I would walk along one with my husband.
And, of course there are not enough hours in the day for all the books I want to read.
Happy TT!
A great list!! I want to swim with dolphins too! I'm going to Hawaii (for the first) this weekend! I am so excited!!!!
Oops, I meant to say "for the first time"
All lovely things honey. I'm so sorry about Doug though. What a shame.
You are a very special friend Gracie. I hope you always know that. Big hug and lotsa lovies. :)
I'd have to make a similar list sometime. :) Great TT!
Wonderful list. Those are all happy times.
My favorite was #11 pure bliss...AW!!!
Great list. I am so jealous of the dolphin thing. I have been scheduled to do that two times and the first time there was a rare thunderstorm in the Bahamas and the second time a hurricane hit the Keys. I think God may be trying to tell me I have some weird allergy to dolphins or something!
I know you're a dog person, but take it from a cat person...a nice head butt is a wonderful thing.
