FINALLY!!!

We have accepted an offer on our house - finally!!! It's a lot less than we'd hoped for, but in this market beggars cannot be choosers. We'll be off Saturday looking at our local mobile home parks (choke) and finding our new abode. It won't be too bad, I hope!
Like I've said before, we've got each other!
Thanks to all of your for your support! I appreciate the cheering squad!!!

Congratulations? I hope you find just what you're looking for, and I'm sure it will be just fine as long as you have each other.

That's fantastic. It'll be a load off of your shoulders, Gracie...and I've known many, many people who lived in trailer parks and they are not at all bad...in fact, most of them are really nice!

You're in my thoughts...

GREAT news!!! I love mobile homes.. the double-wides. They are as big as some houses.

Gracie - Material possessions aren't really ours anyway. They are on loan for a period of time and then someone else has them. Having love in your life is something no one can take away from you.

There are some awesome modular homes out there. Much cheaper living. I know, I lived happily in one for many years. We love you Gracie and we are here for you :)

That's great news, and a tremendous burden off your shoulders. How awesome that it happened this week, the most Holy of weeks! See, miracles DO happen.

I know life has taken a turn you didn't expect or want, but remember my post about new branches in life - we never know where Life will take us when we venture down an unexpected path. Rewards we hadn't anticipated are awaiting.

Simplifying your life might be just what you need, and as you said, you have the two of you, and what an tremendous gift that is.

BTW - I grew up in a single-wide trailer after my older sisters got married and moved out. It's not so bad, and in many ways shaped who I am today.

We all love you regardless of where you live!

Well, congrats...I guess. It's too bad you didn't get what you'd hoped for by selling it, but maybe you can find something fitting to live in. :)
Best of luck to you.

Thanks everyone!!! I was being a tad sarcastic...We're hoping it will be for just 2-3 years. But I have been blessed in SO many ways - I know we'll be okay!
**Ron - I wish we could move to OK! But all of our kids/grandkids are here - it would be difficult!
**Bee - Same as to Ron...I'd love to live in Florida, too.
I've lived in Bakersfield for 36 years in 3 houses. So I'm just not big on moving, period. It's hard now since I can't pull my weight, but I guess I'll have fun learning to direct!!! ;^)

Congratulations!! Hubby and the family and I are living in a double-wide right now, in a great park. They have lots of rules about what your house can look like, and how to keep up the yard and everything, so they're working really hard not to be ghetto. Our house is bigger than my sister-in-law's actual house, too. Until they move, whenever that will be. Still, it's a great place, and I hope you can find a great place of your own too! *hugs*

Oh Gracie,
I hope that escrow goes through smoothly, and that you find something new and lovely.
Maybe someone will have a brand-new double-wide that is in a good spot with good neighbors.
Wishing you the best, and that the new place is just right, better than you could have hoped !
Happy Easter to you, Gracie !

Selling your home is something that you want to do I guess!! Are you building or moving into a mobile home for keeps? I am sounding noisey..sorry!! I loved your dessert because it is exactly the same as mine!! I am so looking forward to that day...How about you..?? Sandy
Have a great Easter.

Hi Gracie,
I have lurked for a long time, reading your posts as they came up on Random Blog, so I decided to finally post and say hello. We are going to be selling in this California market as Hubby has retired and I will in two years and move somewhere less crowded than SO Californis. We have looked at maunfactured homes the pc word for doublewides and are impressed. Some of the senior parks around are very nice. It will be a good move to be able to stay close to Kids. I am going to link to you so I don't have to go to other folks site to find you. Cogratulations,

There are plenty of really nice mobile home parks, and very nice mobile homes.

Now the tornado purposely goes out of its way to find those mobile homes. So I think it's wise to stay in California while you live in one. No tornados in CA.

Congrats and good luck!
