Thursday Thirteen - Crazy Names!

I should have added to this that my grandmother was raised in Texas, home to the infamous Hogg family. Judge Hogg named his kids Ima, (substantiated) Hesa, and Yura. There have been a few more kooky names added to "Comments..."
I have an affinity for strange names. I worked for a county school office and had to process children's names and was horrified and the monikers some of these poor kids were saddled with!
I found a website with some humdingers on it, so even though it's going to be extremely difficult to limit this to thirteen, here are my favorites:

1. Twin boys - KASH AND KERRY
2. FLIPPER (boy)
3. KOTEX - pronounced KO-TAY (boy)
4. LAVORIS (girl)
5. FUZZBOT - pronounced FOO-BEAU (girl)
6. LOVEDEEP (boy)
7. FLUSHIA (girl)
8. Sisters, CRICKET and CLOUD
9. CONFESSION (male)
10. LEMONJELLO - pronounced LAY-MON-ZHELL-O (girl)
11. NOSMOKING - pronounced NAHS-MO-KING (boy)
12. MACARONI (boy)
13. KNIGHT SIR LANCELOT (boy)
This is just a small serving of the hysterical which borders on abuse! I purposefully stayed away from the ones with all of the apostrophes. No one can pronounce them anyway!

I have an uncle nicknamed Pinocchio, and his two sisters nicknamed Cinderella and Snow White. :) Those are not their real names but their nicknames. I find it so amuzing.

Sad and cruel. Funny how parents try to be unique and end up being idiotic and mean.

My kids have names that are not common in this country, but I hope they are normal enough that they won't get teased.

I've actually heard the lemonjello, but I knew a lady that worked for an OBGYN for years. A patient had twin boys and named them lemonjello and orangjello! That is the truth.

You've got to be kidding,'Lemonjello'
I shouldn't laugh, that is so sad, but really funny.
My oldest daughter we almost named her Valentina because she was born on Valentine's Day, but figured if she'd want it when she was older, she could change it.
Funny what parents name their children.
Happy Thursday!

LOL...here's a few of my favorites:

Percy, Cercy, Lercy, Mercy and Clyde (brothers, from oldest to youngest. I guess they ran out of names that rhyme with Percy)

Female (girl. Pronounced Fe-Molly)

Syphylis and Gonorrhelia (twin girls. And no I'm not making this up. The first name was pronounced Si-PHIL-iss)

Shi'thead (boy. Pronounced Shi-THEED)

That last kid is gonna be a clock tower sniper some day, I just know it.

That moment of humor for parents stays with the kid his whole life!

When some friends of mine were expecting, they had a "just in case" bag that they took everywhere with them. They didn't want to be caught anywhere unprepared.

When their son was finally born, they named him Justin Casey.

I have one for you -

Shadi (it is pronounced Shaw-dee). Not too bad right? But his last name is woods.
