We're a pair, he and I...

This is a BEFORE photo - not my furniture.
Don't you just love the lamps?
And now, the funeral parlor drapes
and sheers are long gone...

I'm probably not going to blog this weekend again. I've been painting, if you can call if that. I have a bum right knee, and a bum left hip. My bad back was one of the reasons I had to quit working. Hubman's shoulder is thoroughly shot. So, having purchased a mobile home with the most gosh-awful veneer paneling, I have been painting it in my mind for the past two years. Since hubman is still w/o work, we've decided to try and get the painting actively started.

We laugh at each other because we can work for so long until we need a break. So we sit for a moment or two, and trying to get up out of the chair is a major ordeal. We look like clowns climbing out of a clown car. I can tell this is going to be a major undertaking, and a l-o-n-g one. I've attached a photo of the living room as it was right before we bought it. The funeral parlor drapes are now history, thank heavens! I'll post photos as we progress. It may be ten years from now.....

Well, I'm off to the drug store for more BenGay.

They say, "Misery loves company" and I think that is a very true statement too. Like Bee, I can sooooo relate to your description of getting up out of the chairs! I have the same issues here. Back problems, an ankle that swells all the time on my left leg and my right knee likes to pull little tricks on me that make me feel like it is going to lock up (painfully so) and send me lurching head first into something. As a result, I steer clear, as much as possible, of going up and down any stairs as the knee seems to get worse where stair steps are involved. Hell of a way to enjoy senior citizen status isn't it? But then, it sure does beat the alternative too.

we are a pair also, getting old is not what it is cracked up to.

I finished the final page of my series and will post it late this afternoon, we have lived the good life and are now moving on.

Yep, I know the feeling on this but just remember - slow and steady wins the race and you and Hubman will do just fine! Take Union breaks!

I can absolutely, 100% empathize with how your body must feel. I've felt that way often. Go slowly; what's the rush, right?

So glad you ix-nayed the urtains-ca. It looks very depressing and sad with such heavy window treatments. I'm sure that brightened the room immediately!
