Beautiful hibiscus and pictures, Gracie !
Where I am, it's still cold enough for pansies, and the daffodils have been making an appearance for almost a month now !

Is that your hibiscus? It's stunning. Somethings are better about California. Your warm weather is one of them.

Annie...your word verification isn't working so here's my answer to your wonderful post about food:
married at 17 and nearly killed us with food poisoning and not realizing you have to refrigerate hamburger after it's cooked. I learned very quickly after that!
My daughter married a wonderful man who loved us all with food. He prepared the most fantastic meals for all of our family get-togethers. He was a true gourmand. He died 22 months ago at 42 and we miss his spirit every day.

Gorgeous blooms! I like the stone with the word smile etched on it.

We call the first flower here Gumamela. As a child, I used to pick gumamelas infront of our house and pound on them. My Dad puts them in a small container with some soap and ta-da, it becomes a bubble solution. I have many fun memories playing bubbles using gumamela. :)

Gracie,
the word verification thing can be frustrating, can't it ! Thank you for answering me, though, and yikes about the hamburger !

Sometimes with word verification, I highlight and copy my whole comment to someone (so I don't lose it)and then right click the mouse and click 'open' and somehow that gets the window going properly... Hope that works !

P.S. Did I tell you that I had added you to my links ?
*smiles*

Sorry I missed these on Wednesday, I work a very long 16-hour day and can't around to many blogs. These flowers are absolutely gorgeous - wish I had some like that here to look at! Maybe soon - Spring can't be too far off!
