Photo Hunt - Important

Important: The word has no limits! My faith, my family, my husband, my children, and yes, my pets; eating, drinking, exercising; love of country, being a responsible citizen, voting; being kind, loving and merciful.
I chose this little Episcopal church that we saw while in Kaua'i as my photo for this week. It's not my denomination but I loved the style of the building, the palm trees gently swaying above, and the open doors.
The church used to be sacrosanct, a place where one could be safe from their environment and a place of sanctuary - to be able to meditate in peace. The church building has, unfortunately, lost that status, in that we are no longer free from those who would do us ill while within it's structures, but the "Church" that dwells within us is always present, a place of peace, grace, mercy and faith.
That is why I chose it as "important." It is the basis of my being.

What a beautiful church. I do love visiting our local churches, one is over 1,000 year old and is the oldest wooden structure in Europe. Happy weekend

Grace, how beautiful that little church...it would make anyone want to stop in and say a prayer. And of course it's in Kauai! :)

It still looks like the sort of place for a quiet meditation or prayer. But you're right that the church of God is not bricks but people and is very important.

This little church looks very pretty !

I just wanted to tell you that today I have a very special little video on my blog. It is absolutely hilarious and shows the demolition of several houses in Brussels. It happened last week. They did it so good, that the neighbor found himself with a toilet without wall. If you like it give the word.
I found it on a Belgian blog;

As always you have beautifully described your faith. The church is a wonderful choice for "important".

I've tagged you for a meme. There are two, so you may choose one or both, or choose not to do them. I know some people don't like doing these. Don't feel obligated.
