My Branch of the Family Tree

This is the oldest known family photo and comes from a restored daguerreotype and dates from the 1840's. Before the Civil War, Jesse was reportedly the richest man in Kansas City, but lost his whole fortune when Union General Thomas Ewing banned Jesse from the city because Ewing suspected Jesse had been bankrolling Quantril's raiders. Jesse died a pauper.
