It Lives...

I'M BA-CK!!! This photo depicts my mood over the last several days! AT&T could not establish service into our house because we had the "old" AT&T lines, not the "new" AT&T! Both of them stink, big time! It took over a week for us to finally get a telephone...I love big utilities (NOT!).

Yes, we're in, finally, surrounded by stacks of boxes. It reminds me of the house in New York where those two eccentric brothers lived. They had stacks of boxes and piles of newspapers and junk piled everywhere. Finally, one of them was trapped underneath an avalanche of stuff and the other brother couldn't get out. Indeed, a nightmare! Someone stop me if I ever threaten to do this again, please!

I am now in the process of preparing more boxes for the Salvation Army because if I can't store it, it's gone. No room at the inn, so to speak. Books and art stuff seem to be my downfall. Must seek therapy...oh, wait - that won't work! I'm already getting therapy. Start drinking, can't do that. I don't drink. O-k-a-y then. Stop reading and collecting art stuff. There we go! Solution at hand!!! (Hah!)

I'm going to be spending the next few days touring and catching up. Please bear with me!
Love to all!

Before you toss something you love, be creative with storage. I've got just over 900 square feet and we're figuing out creative solutions for storage.

I'm resisting throwing anything away until I prove to myself that I can't find a place for it.

Good luck!

As Trav said, be creative in your storage. Think vertical - you'd be surprised what you can keep when it doesn't take up floor space. Bookshelves, my dear, book shelves!

So glad you're getting settled in the new digs.

Thanks, folks! I love you for all of your encouragement...
I have several bookcases - I'm just a rabid book collector/reader. I find it really difficult to let go of a book once I've read it. I've allowed myself a couple of series and letting go of a lot of books I'll never reread and if I have a hankering to, I do have a library card (smile...).

Glad your back. Just pace yourself with the unpacking. You will be able to find a place for those special items you can't part with.

I know just how you feel! We've moved so many times I've lost count.

It's so overwhelming isn't it?

Big ((hugs)) just take it slow! :-)
