A Little More About Spike
I should have described what was happening in this picture in the post below. I was leaning back in the chair with a neck roll. Spike hopped up to the top of the chair, then hopped up on my head, which was something he's never done before. As I tilted my head back to look at him, he "log-rolled" so as I rolled back, he walked forward; he peered down at me and said, "Hello!" We cracked up! Wally grabbed the camera and we did it again - lucky shot.
I don't usually sit around with a bird on my head - Linda, you're right! Might get a tad messy...
Spike has been a part of our family since 1992, longer than some of our grandchildren! He is a clown and continues to make us smile....

The birds that can talk can be especially funny with their actions and speech too. I had a parakeet for a couple of years when I was probably jr high age (a long, long time ago anyway) and he liked to join my Mom, Grandma and me at the table for supper. He adored broccoli and also butter. And he would almost always end his visit by landing on my Grandma's arm, run up and down her arm a couple of time and then, suddenly bend over and peck at her skin, often making it bleed as her skin was like parchment -very thin and of course, then she bled really easily too. She would get mad for about 5 seconds at him and then laugh it off and the next meal, he would be right back, doing that all over again to her!
I thought it was a good thing that you were wearing your 'splatter guard' glasses! He is a real cutie. Big hugs...

A log-rolling bird? Now THAT'S impressive. And he's so modest. LOL
This picture that you have of Spike in this post is great, I love that half of him is in shadow like that!
