Photo Hunters - Water

The Mighty Kern River

It's very popular for white water rafting, fishing; it flows through Lake Isabella; provides water for precious farm land; it's also claimed many lives due to a very dangerous undercurrent. Beauty is deceptive!

Hi Gracie. That's a lovely photo. The river looks really refreshing but as you said the undercurrent can be quite dangerous. It's always good to take extra care.

Thanks for sharing. Take care!

I went white water rafting once. I said several friends that ended up in the river. I don't know that I would do it again.

I've never been white water rafting, although I have been camping along rivers like the Kern.

I'm not a swimmer so I stay well back on the shore, but I do enjoy the view!

Baba said...

I would like to visit this site and hear the sound of the rushing water..
Great choice. Baba

The Kern River is beautiful, but sounds dangerous. Great choice for this week. In reference to your comment on my blog: I think my nanday would loose a few feathers it she rode on my bike (from nerves, lol). Thanks for stopping by and have a nice weekend.

It is very beautiful-with the trees lining the water...

And the music that comes up with it...I'm in a trance.

Beauty can be deceptive but without it the world would be dull. Thanks for visiting.
